OM5PM

I was born in 1984 in Nitra, SLOVAKIA. I am  interested in hamradio since year 2000. In my city a hamradio course in club OM3KRN was opened. There I learned  morse and everything about hamradio rules. My teacher was Mr.Viktor Jankovič OM3CCR. I got my first hamradio license on 26/4/2001. My first callsign was OM5APM and my first QSO on hamradio band was on 2m band with OM3CCR. Hamradio club in Nitra was without HF antennas and TRX. There was a problem with places for club. When I wanted to work on HF I had to buy TRX and antenna. When I bought my first TRX for 10m band I remember first QSO on CW(this was amazing):) I was very activ on 10m, because antenna for this band is not so big and my first TRX was President Lincoln for 10m band. I bought this TRX from my friend, it cost about 200 euro. I love also tourism,   mountains and I was also very often portable on 2m band. My first license included VHF, UHF and few sectors from HF bands. I was student at secondary school and during summer holiday I worked in factory night shift, because I dreamed about TRX for all HF band with 100W. I fell in love with hamradio :) My dream became real and I bought one which cost around 1000 euro. I started to prepare for cept1 license, who included all of HF bands. Condition for license was to catch 80 letters per minute on CW and to know all rules and prefix codes, electrotechnics... etc. I got my new license on 12/8/2003 with callsign OM5PM. I was very activ on 10m band with my FT-840 and 4el.yagi. I worked on 10m with all continents of the world. I remeber the most amazing situation, when my callsign was in cluster many times during the end of the year 2003 and many stations were calling me. I felt like a big station. Many people from all parts of the world know my callsign and my name.

This is famous on hamaradio, that you can be everywhere with your signal and your body still in your hamshack :) like a travelling in time without any border... one world, one language.
